Fiordland encompasses a large area with 1,700 miles of mostly internal coastline. You could spend a month exploring Fiordland and still not have covered everywhere.

All of Fiordland is fantastic for scenery, diving, fishing, relaxing and exploring. In general, the further south you go, the more history abounds.

Dusky and Breaksea Sounds are considered to be the most premium sounds to explore and this is where Fiordland Charters specialize in.

The Pembroke would normally start a charter in either Breaksea or Dusky Sound and finish in the alternative sound (using the inland Acheron Passage to access either sound).

Access to the Pembroke is via helicopter from Te Anau.

We specialise in charters from one day up to 7 days. Depending on what you are looking for in a charter, we can customize your trip to suit your timeframe.

All charters are personally customised to the clients and can include any or all of the following:

Diving in Fiordlands sheltered fiords.
Fiordland is one of only a few places throughout the world where you can view Black coral at shallow depths due to the fresh water layer sitting on top of the fiord. Crayfish and scallops (in season) abound with dive sites to suit virtually every diver.

Fishing
Fishing for Blue Cod as well as other species including Tuna makes for a pleasant way to spend some leisure time.

Sea kayaking
With numerous islands and coves throughout Fiordland, sea-kayaking is a great way to explore at your own pace.

Historic areas
Dusky has many historic and significant areas being the site of New Zealands first western style house and first small ship to be built.

Hunting
Having a nice dry warm boat to come back to each day is a great way to hunt deer. There are plenty of deer throughout Fiordland.

Relaxing
Just sitting back and taking in the amazing scenery while gently cruising in the sheltered sounds is a great way to relieve that stress.
